This course is designed specifically for Re-certification of those physical therapists who have previously been certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer (Infant, Child, and Adult 1-person and 2-person, AED, and O2 Administration) and Emergency Medical Response (CPR for the Professional Rescuer PLUS Emergency Medical Response Certification).
The Emergency Medical Response lab will review and test: bleeding control and shock management, trauma victim assessment and management, airway insertion and suction, management of injuries to soft tissue and skeletal structures, and management of head, neck, and back injuries. This course provides a 2-year certification as an Emergency Medical Responder and 2-year CPR for the professional Rescuer, AED, and O2 Administration.
Successful completion of both written and practical skills check is required for certification following this course.
Participants in the Emergency First Responder Re-certification course will need to purchase and complete a workbook prior to their arrival at the course. Information regarding how to purchase workbook will be sent upon receipt of registration.
The cost is approximately $70.00-$100.00, which includes the workbook and a copy of the textbook or e-textbook. For more information, visit the Department of Physical Therapy's website.
